Truly the only news worth a damn this week is that Carleen has REVIVED their custom crochet sweatshirts!! Any word, six characters or less, crocheted and then applied to a vintage sweatshirt. Truly, a dream. }}CARLEEN{{
When I lived in L.A., I didn’t have to think about lawns because our “lawn” was half brick and half decomposed granite. Now that I live in Maine, I do, in fact, have a LAWN and it’s really something to think about. The thing about grass is it’s never growing where you want it to. In the flower beds? Yes. In the wide open space typically referred to as “lawn”? No. I’ve just about had it, so I’ve been poking around the Earthwise Seed company’s website—there are seeds here to re-wild your lawn as a meadow (“meadowscaping”) or to introduce other non-grass species like creeping thyme and clover. }}Earthwise{{
Kids are really good at putting a lot of holes into their clothing. There’s a game at school that they play where they literally spin on their knees. Rude! Anyway: NoSo, the patch company that asks you to neither sew nor iron their patches, released a whole line of merino wool patches, which is pretty spectacular given the many precious woolen garments I have purchased for my children that now have gaping holes. }}NoSo{{
