The Source: Little Gifts Under $30
Round Two of gifting, this time more compact both dimensionally and budget-wise.
Thanks to each of you who responded or ~hearted~ or generally enjoyed the last gift guide and let me know about it! I had absolutely no clue what a heavy lift it would be to make a gift guide, so I’m immensely grateful and relieved to hear that it was helpful and not yet another collection of stuff.
So, here’s one more. Everything here is under $30 (with minimal exceptions) and on the smaller side—read: good for stockings or for multi-night gift-a-thons (also known as Hanukkah).
1 | A pocket-sized Yatzy game that’s prettier than most. €15, merci-merci.com.
2 | Extremely fancy sprinkles (can you see the tiny candy canes??). $11, fancysprinkles.com.
3 | Janie Korn’s candles are miniatures sculptures that I can’t believe anyone could actually think to burn. This “friendly face” candle is the less stressful, entry level version of their wax art. $30, janiekorn.com.
4 | Building Block are hanging up their hat, so all the more reason to pick up something with which to remember this fierce design team. I choose this (just over $30, ok) keychain with a handy pen attached! $35, building--block.com.
5 | Hand forged nails! I can’t be the only one excited about these and their endless possibilities. There’s also a heart-shaped version. $9, allroadsdesign.com.
6 | An air-freshener shaped like our very own moon. $8, threepotatofour.com.
7 | Just a casual tube of chocolate hazelnut spread. $11, eataly.com.
8 | I haven’t stopped smiling since I found out about these candle taper sharpeners. People can be so great. $6, nickeykeyhoe.com.
9 | #135 from the Mississippi Records tape series: “Heavy and beautiful, but not for the faint of heart or colonial sympathizers.” $5, mississippirecords.net.
10 | This small storage caddy might fit a more commodious stocking—or, here me out—maybe it could be the stocking?? $18, crushla.com.
11 | Everything you need (including a mini greehouse, aw) to grow your own flowering cherry blossom tree! $11, sequoiatrees.com.
12 | My kids both lived in these as babies, they’re just the best. Give the gift of an early introduction to sweaterpants. $25, hanselfrombasel.com.
13 | Scented, pinecone shaped fire starters! Caliente! $28, heirloomartco.com.
14 | Little flower bottle stoppers (also just a touch over our spending limit, forgive me, they’re just so sweet). $38, martinathornhill.com.
15 | Socks from Scarf Shop that are (get this!!) custom naturally dyed to order! Choose from three sizes and dozens of colors. $8, scarf-shop.com.
16 | If you also happen to have a quite literal artist in the home, this book of drawing prompts seems like a good idea. $24, houseandparties.com.
17 | Clixo has taken my house by storm!! These are fun and make long car rides about 1000x easier. $20, yoportland.com.
18 | Sweet and chic enamel coasters. $7, utilitariomexicano.com.
19 | We got some kids’ Ooga Booga merch handed down and it brings a lot of joy. Here’s some crispy new ones for sale, too. $15, shop.oogaboogastore.com.
That’s all for now everyone! Hope some of that was helpful. 💝 Next week I’ll share a gift guide featuring items that are free and/or digital.
Love it!!! Thank you for putting these together :)
