Buckle up, pals! We’re upping the ante, we’re pulling out all the stops, we’re cooking with gas, we’re shooting the moon.
We’re adding a second email missive to the week! 🚀
If you’re joining in from my past life as the editor of Knit Wit, you’ll find this one familiar. Each week, I wrote a little newsletter called Click On This—a catalog of all the recent internet things I’d found. Like a shell collection, but like, you can click on the shells. You know?
Here are some of the things I’ve collected recently…
1. Womb House Books
Berkeley-based Etsy-seller Womb House Books sells used books with an emphasis (but not, like, a rule) on especially nice-looking editions and cover design. For the merch heads: there’s also a whole collection of dad hats emblazoned with the names of writers. Useful if you like to let people know exactly where you stand when it comes to, say for instance, Marguerite Duras. (Hat tip, ugh sorry, to Anabela for this one. 🤍)
2. Jacob Knowles
Thanks to friend of Treehouse—and first issue cover artist!—Ty Williams, I have happily discovered and vehemently followed the Instagram account of 5th Generation Maine Lobsterman, Jacob Knowles. So charming! Very knowledgeable! Lobsters!
3. Haystack Joinery Tents

OO-EE, I really shouldn’t see stuff like this! These little triangular structures and tents by Haystack Joinery are ~so good~. They live at Smithereen Farm, who are offering tent stays up on their property way up in Pebroke, Maine.
4. Rosinha De Valença
Friend of Treehouse, Anthony, sent Partner of Treehouse, Jesse, a record by 1960s Bossa Nova guitarist Rosinha De Valença and I, person of Treehouse, just can’t stop listening to her! She’s especially fun to watch on YouTube. The sort of mesmerizing trance of seeing her absolutely shred reminds me of several (*cough cough*) years ago when I couldn’t stop watching this video.

Great Rosinha clip. Particularly like the intimate side eye thing going on with Mr tambour man
Wow what a head tickle! Just love this interrupting my searching for tax documents somewhere in the inner spaces of my downloads.... this is a true breath of fresh everything!
