Hello! Are you a person who (a) can’t exactly afford a landscape designer and also (b) has no idea where to start? Louise recently shared this garden roll planner with me (neat), for one. Then, I saw that Wild Seed Project, the (Maine-based) organization leading the charge in New England on restoring biodiverse, native habitats here, has two fully-designed garden plans in their Resources section. There’s one for sun (above) and also one for shade—both promise to be great habitats for the local fauna, are New England native species and, you know, probably will look pretty good too. }}Wild Seed Project{{
I have been feeling inexplicably emo recently—a big change from my usual explicitly emo—and, well, this little carousel post about when things break (literally, metaphorically) just really got me! Hope there are kernels of wisdom in here for you, too. Regardless if you have a creative practice or not! }}Rachel Saunders Ceramics{{
It’s cherry blossom time in Japan! And apparently, much like our fall foliage report, there is a cherry blossom report and forecast. There’s also one for the D.C. area, managed by our parks service, bless them. }}Sakura Map{{
Speaking of which… let’s go to Japan?
NB: Even though it’s not linked in that original IG post where I found it… The image used as the hero in this one (orange background with broken plate) appears to be the work of prop stylist Lea Mazy.
