Hang tight, a lot of Treehouse-y keywords are about to tumble out here! 1970s British outdoors company Cobmaster, who has since been acquired and relaunched in Japan, partnered with YOKA (Your Official Key to Adventure) on a series of flat-packable wooden furniture, meant to be used outdoors. Phew! (Shoutout to Block Shoppe buds for the hot tip on Cob that lead to this discovery!)

The Palestinian Soap Cooperative is an American venture which imports and sells traditional olive oil soap, handmade in a centuries-old tradition in Nabulus, West Bank. The soap has only three ingredients: water, lye, and olive oil; and it’s supposed to be very good for the skin, especially those prone to troubles like eczema or acne. Here’s a mesmerizing video that shows how the soap is made.
For those of you who’ve been hanging around since the beginning, you (might?) remember my very first post about earthships—and also the fact that you can rent a lot of them through AirBnb. Anyway, imagine how chuffed *this guy* was when a TV show called “Building Off The Grid” entered my line of sight, the very first episode of which features earthship inventor and architect Michael Reynolds building the envelope for one up in Montana!
