Friend of the sletter, Maeve, sent through this great episode of You’re Wrong About, which is ostensibly about Trad Wives, but which dips in and around so many related topics and histories. A wide-ranging chat about kitchen design, feminism and its various waves, capitalism, gender politics, largely… A great listen, especially as we navigate domestic spaces and their meanings here at the Treehouse.
A lot of people sent me podcasts this week, it’s true. As I try to calm my absolute GIDDY EXCITEMENT for Ayana Elizabeth Johnson’s new book, What If We Get It Right?, friend of the sletter and brother-in-law to me, Matt, sent this conversation with Hannah Ritchie on the Ezra Klein Show. Ritchie’s book is called Not The End of the World: How We Can Be The First Generation To Build A Sustainable Planet—so, you know, you can kinda guess what her spin is going to be. Plus she speaks with a very enjoyable Scottish brogue.
Very obvious and longtime obsession of mine, Salmon Creek Farm recently announced their new annual artist residency. Applications are open now until the end of the month, residency takes place in October. It. Looks. Dreamy.
The Tradwives podcast was fascinating, thanks for sharing the link!
